Oggi 8 Maggio 2013 Seda Aktepe è stata rilasciata dal carcere Don Bosco di Pisa poichè il titolo di custodia per il quale era stato richiesto il suo arresto a fini di estradizione è stato revocato dall’autorità giudiziaria della Turchia. Ha trascorso 8 giorni in isolamento nel carcere di Pisa senza avere la possibilità di parlare con nessuno, neppure con il compagno che era con lei al momento dell’arresto. Pensiamo che l’attenzione mediatica sollevata da molt* attraverso mobilitazioni in Italia, Svizzera, Turchia e Gran Bretagna in questi giorni sia stata determinante affinchè la vicenda finisse nel modo migliore. Crediamo che si debba riflettere e aprire un dibattito sui tanti casi analoghi passati sotto silenzio e con epiloghi molto peggiori. Siamo comunque molto felici di aver ritrovato Seda in buone condizioni.
Convochiamo per domani 9 Maggio alle ore 12:00 a eXploit (di fronte al dipartimento di Matematica di Pisa) una conferenza stampa a cui prenderà parte la stessa Seda.

Bugün 8 mayıs 2013 itibari ile, Türkiye’ye iade edilmek üzere Pisa şehrinin Don Bosco hapishanesinde tutuklu bulunan Seda Aktepe, Türkiye’nin iade talebini geri çekmesi üzerine serbest bırakıldı.
Ne tutuklanma anında yanında olan yoldaşıyla, ne de bir başkasıyla konuşma şansı olmadan tecritte 8 gün geçirdi. Düşünüyoruz ki, bu süre boyunca İtalya, İsviçre, Türkiye ve İngiltere’de yapılan eylemler medyanın ilgisini davaya çekerek, duruşmanın en iyi şekilde sonuçlanmasını sağladı. Basına yansımayan birçok benzer olay ve çok daha kötü sonuçlanan bir çok davaya dikkat çekmek ve bu konuda bir tartışma başlatmak gerektiğine inanıyoruz. Son olarak, Seda’yı yeniden aramızda görmekten dolayı çok mutluyuz.
Yarın Exploit’da Seda ile bir basın açıklaması gerçekleştireceğiz.
Today on May 8th 2013 Seda Aktepe has been released from the Don Bosco jail in Pisa because the capture warrant that aimed at her extradition has been revoked by Turkish judicial authority. She spent 8 days in isolation in Pisa prison without the possibility to talk to anyone, neither with her boyfriend who was with her at the moment of the arrest. We believe the mediatic relevance many people gave to this case in Italy, Switzerland, Turkey and Great Britain really helped things to end in this way. We believe everybody should ponder and involve in a debate on the great number of similar cases to which no one pays attention and often end up in the worst of the possible outcomes.
Anyway, we’re all still very happy for finding Seda in good conditions.
We call for a press conference to be held tomorrow May 9th, 12:00 at eXploit (in front of Mathematics Department, University of Pisa) in which Seda will partecipate.
